The Only Negotiating Guide You'll Ever Need

The Only Negotiating Guide You'll Ever Need, Revised and Updated: 101 Ways to Win Every Time in Any Situation

In reading this book, I was pleasantly surprised how easy of a read it was for starters.

If you wanted to, you can jump back and forth in the book as well.

There is a very short quiz in the book as well on page 84 that you can learn your own style of behaviour during negotiating.

The premise that you can always learn to negotiate better is a great one. The reason being, they introduce Shark, Carp, and Dolphin and the different styles and then also the pros and cons of each.
They put in simple language for even the layman to be able to understand.

The other appreciation about this book that I have is that they are teaching you from a perspective that impacts you no matter what-- Whether you are wanting to be better in general, in business, in personal relationships, or in your job. So it has a wide application. That is HUGE for a book to be able to do.

Read it once, read it again--- I think you can honestly read it more than once.

It's a great coffee book as well- so you can read something and then the book back up again as well.

There are some tips and tricks in here that I think can help most anyone in gauging what they are getting themselves into when they go in for a negotiating session as well. For example, how an office looks.

I am finding that I am learning a lot about my style from this as well and what I can do to make sure that it is the way I want to be. Kind of like a self-improvement kind of book.

It gives you food for thought when doing team negotiation versus personal as well.

All in all, this is a very wonderful book.

I give this book ☀☀☀☀☀ out of 5.

About this Book:
" Everything in life is negotiated, under all conditions, at all times. From asking your boss for a raise, to asking your significant other to take out the garbage, most of us are involved in negotiations to one degree or another for a good part of any given day. The Only Negotiating Guide You'll Ever Need, Revised and Updated outlines the critical elements you need for a successful negotiation and reveals the 101 tactics to use in any high-stakes business deal, or in everyday life occurrences.

In this book, you'll discover your negotiating behavioral style through self-assessment questionnaires, gain the tools needed to deal with negotiation sharks (or bullies), learn tips for recognizing and interpreting your negotiating counterpart's body language to create beneficial outcomes, and see examples on how to counter unethical and unprofessional tactics effectively--and much more.

Using their 30 years of experience as business professionals, lead negotiators, consumers, and parents, Peter Stark and Jane Flaherty provide you with the tools you need to become a successful negotiator who builds win-win relationships. "
