About the 365-day devotional:

Each day features an easy-to-read, relevant devotion paired with a scripture verse and journaling space to help readers reflect on the day’s message. The book tackles tough topics girls face, from bullying and social media to friendships and dating, all the while showing readers how infinitely precious they are in God’s sight.There is no specific author. It will be listed as Zondervan. $14.99, Hardcover, For ages 13 & up

My Thoughts:

* So, I think that this book is definitely more for younger girls/women.
* Small space on each page to write a note or two
* Hardcover
* It's like a small big book, so somewhat portable
* This seems written more for teens given the simplistic way of looking at each day. While some ideas are profound, some of the days leave more questions than answers. Maybe that's the point. Maybe it's not. But I wish it would not drop some hard things in such a light way that almost devalues it without realising.
* On the other hand, it delivers some hard truths in light ways that make you think more deeply about them that need to be thought about. Why the double edge sword with using "truths in light ways"? Because for some things that need more reflection and don't need a lot of explaining or raise more questions than not, it's important to "rip the band aid off" just right so that way you can expose something in yourself to be able to deal with it spiritually.
* A little bit too conservative on some ideas and talking points
* On other points, it is spot on even for the most liberal heart that loves God
* There is something everyone will get from it

Because of this I give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
