Colouring Into The Night On a Voyage

I am excited to review this book... well, this colouring book! I am a huge fan of adult colouring books and this one tells a story! How cool is that? A lot of colouring books gloss over actually telling a story but rather use it to be creative. Which is really cool... but this is cool and different. I appreciate that!

I am going to be using it as a gift for either myself (shh, don't tell me!) or my daughter for Christmas!

There is a lot of little well thought out details and delicate designs in here. Not something a little one can colour. Although my eight year old daughter will try to talk me into letting her use it I am sure. Every single time I get a colouring book, she wants to and often runs in to help.

I love the cover-- You can colour where it isn't already and it is just so dreamy! The cover reminds me of Polar Express. Like a ride you would jump onto in the middle of the night.

What is even cooler is that the author and artist tells you the background of the story. It is in order and tells a story. Something not all colouring books do.

About the author:
This third adult coloring book in Daria Song's Time series follows the little girl on a new nighttime adventure when the conductor of her toy train comes to life and helps her distribute gifts across the world.

The Night Voyage is an evocatively illustrated story of a little girl who is swept away on the eve of her birthday by her toy train conductor on a magical journey to distribute gifts around the globe. Taking devotees of The Time Garden and The Time Chamberon an imaginative new adventure, The Night Voyage continues Daria Song's wildly successful series with the beautifully intricate art that her fans have come to love, featuring a world of paper cranes, penny-farthing bicycles, trolleys, cityscape, and hot air balloon-filled skies.

* I received this book in exchange for my honest review*
