I was very surprised in the best of ways with this colouring book. Based on Chris Tomlin's song, it is brought to life through art AND it is good for everyone. It's not overly religious with crosses or feelings of feeling less than in one's faith. .
Getting this colouring book could not have come at a more perfect time for me. Coming off a stressful weekend that made me want to quit things in a whole new way (seriously though) because of how burnt out I was, this was perfect.
You see, we forget that as adults we need the outlets as well to get creative so we can still go on with the daily 9 to 5 or in my case my daily 24.
When I got this book, I was excited to be able to review but honestly more than that I was happy to be able to colour it. Like, I really really needed this.
So I talked on the phone and got some revelations while colouring this which is the perfect time to get able to get those. It stimulates the part of the brain we tend to suppress that allow us to think outside the box.
So, I was initially worried about reviewing this. The reason was because I was worried it would be overly religious (given that the song is a religious one). But since I love the song, I was more than happy to give it a shot.
L.O.V.E. this colouring book!
It is beautiful and it truly lives up to the lyrics in it's artwork. So, I really appreciated that. You can't sit and colour this in one day. It takes time to colour each one which I really like as well!
There is not one image and page I would not colour, which speaks volumes. This is honestly a great for any person in your life that is spiritual in any way. Which is not always, and honestly mostly not, the case for spiritual/religious colouring books.
The book is definitely not a kid's colouring book but kids can colour in it if they want. It is going to make a great present as well.
I give this book ☁☁☁☁☁ out of 5.
