Rigid Wrap and CelluClay Quik-Sculpting Kit

We are reviewing the Rigid Wrap and CelluClay Quik-Sculpting Kit featuring rigid rap plastic-coated gauze by ACTÍVA Products . The really cool thing about this kit is that comes with plans for 12 projects that vary both in complexity but also do ability for more than one child to do. You also have plans for ACTÍVA Products' Favorite Sculpture KIDS CRAFTS which is an E book that you can gather ideas from as well.

We chose the totem because it had three parts to it and I have 3 kids so they are dividing the project into three and working together. This also just seemed to be representative for my three kids and how they are separate but connected, and how beautiful is that?

Working together has proven to be a bit hard with my 3 kids which also means that it has taken longer to complete. That being said hopefully this will be a nice keepsake that will show all three of the Artistic Styles in one and it will be like a family totem for us.

I think that activity is a great product for a lot of families to be able to do and you can incorporate it not just in the homeschooling but also into summer crafts or for a rainy day.

There are crafts that definitely take a lot more time and I think we did end up choosing one of the projects that took a little bit longer to complete but it was also good for beginners.

As being good scouts as we are, we were able to use reusable materials from our own house which was great. So everything we had to use to make this project, we already had in the house. Double score!

This has to be one of the better art projects that we've been able to do. I just wish there was a little bit more in the kit so you can do more than a couple of projects. And that's mainly because we like it so much.

The kids had a lot of fun being able to get the gauze wet and seeing how the holes filled up when they use the gauze to wrap the toilet paper tube.

I was able to get some things supplemented because we didn't have cardstock signed up using another plain toilet paper tube roll to be able to use it for the wings of the totem.

Also, I have to say I was really surprised because I thought the weight of the gauze and the materials would collapse the toilet paper tube and then the project would be a dud. But it wasn't and I was pleasantly surprised.

This product, in my opinion is awesome and I definitely think the kids will want to do it again. Even together... he he.

Here are the kids' reviews.

Avi:

The product is really cool and you can be more creative with it than other companies. It does have a few flaws, though. One of them is that they don't tell you that what quantities of water and CelluClay powder to use. Besides that, It's a fun product to use. Age: Everyone.

The "Quik Sculpting Kit" is fun and interesting, something to keep you busy. It really brings the artist out in me. Something that I don't like it though is that didn't tell you how much water and CelluClay to use and the instructions were a tiny bit confusing. I would say the age for someone to play with it would be six years old because it has small parts. And until next time bye.                                                                                                                        -Via
