Steamed Baby Bok Choy with Rice

It has become a new normal for us.
We shop at H Mart, a local Asian store that took us a while to discover.
Yes, we would drive from D.C. to Maryland to go to this store.
Why? Because we can buy a decent amount of food for less than our the big chain stores sometimes and save quite a bit of money. Especially when we do a multi-store shopping trips.

Something we have regularly bought now is Baby Bok Choy.
Don't be intimidated by it, it is very easy to make.
It takes less than 5 minutes to make.
And I call this a double easy recipe because you can make this and rice at the same time without having to use two seperate pots. You just use a small strainer that fits inside the pot. Put the vegetables in there and while you are cooking your rice, you cook your vegetables at the same time.

Did you know? Baby Bok Choy is in the cabbage and turnip family.

Ingredients:
Baby Bok Choy
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp- tbsp grated fresh ginger
1 hand full of cilantro

Directions:
1. Boil water for your rice.
2. Cut your bok choy they way you want it
3. Put the bok choy, garlic and ginger in the top steamer, while you cook your rice and steam for 4-5 minutes and you are done!

We had it with rice and black beans- you can choose whatever you want to go with it and it will be yum!
