Homeschool Planet

My family gets to review Homeschool Planet from Homeschool Buyers Co-op.

All of June, you can review a free trail to  Lesson Plan Marketplace yourself which includes a free lesson plan of your choosing! There really are so many varieties of choices that you can do that will make your family happy.

Now to the review:

They were great in their email and were able to explain the way to get everything going easily. That is a big part of the battle. I also really appreciated the checkout process and that it was very straight forward, especially for a review.

I feel the site can be a little hard to navigate- but it is pretty easy once you figure it out and there is just so much because it's a wealth of information.

They included a welcome packet which also included freebies-- car schooling, a chance to create ID cards for homeschooling, and also a free e-book called "Why Homeschool Rocks". That was a pretty sweet welcome.

Navigation the site and your account is pretty easy and the set up for your account is easy as well.

Apparently, there are almost 200,000 people who use this. For homeschoolers, that is HUGE. Like, super huge. This is complete awesomeness.

The video in the beginning of Homeschool Planet about the planner, how to use it, and the basics of it (including small things about the calendar) is awesome!

This has to be one of the more thorough calendars and interactive platforms I have seen thus far because you can add things like notes for the students, web links, grades, etc. You can add vacations, camps, birthdays, appointments, chores, sports, import an existing class schedule,  create a lesson, and more! That sounds like a lot, because, well, that is life!

They even have a grading and rescheduling helper. This is a great feature to have because frankly, it can be tedious to have to replan things when a child gets really sick or when there is something going on that you need to deal with or an impromptu vacation. Those are always good.

You can even add and create a transcript for your child! That is super awesome.

Everything that is essential to homeschooling can be done on HomeSchool Planet. And you can change the theme or look of it, print in economic or colour, and so much more. There are so many features, it will actually make it easier and more fun for the homeschool teacher to be able to do, manage, and have a little fun in the process.

Super intuitive and you are able to blend your schedules from school, work, and life. Just awesome.

Kids can log in and can teach your kids how to get their schedules done and how to manage their time. This gives kids more of the power to learn "behind the scenes" of planning and also how to take responsibility for what they have to do.

I wish I had known about this earlier before the review. So I am glad I am able to use it. With an honest to heavens busy schedule that have my complete self-stretched to the max as a mum, scout leader, teacher, and potential business owner, this schedule is going to be such a heaven sent treasure.

I like you can print out if you want but I like the accessibility of it on all platforms. Although I have not tried it on mobile yet so I can not speak to that but I know you can text reminders to yourself especially things like grocery lists. No joke. Now, that is a win!

There is nothing that you can't really accomplish, I feel, with this program. It has been such an awesome asset into one's homeschooling life. Can't wait to keep using and for it to be useful for us and our incredibly hectic life.
