Why Baby Got Back

So before I introduce my friend, I have to tell you that she is being so transparent about her process and experience. You have to admire that. Not only is she going for it and changing her life, she is changing others by inspiring them.

I remember babysitting Aubrey and while she had special needs she was a super sweet kid! I remember her and her baby (not so much a baby anymore) sister. They were so sweet together. She went together to the park with my kids, sat and loved all the same shows my kids did, and also played so well with all my kids. 

On this journey of hers, I will be joining her in her group and I encourage you to the do the same!

So I am more than happy to promote my personal friend Kala and her new Facebook Group and inspiring message on Baby Got Back. So without further introduction, I introduce Kala and WHY she did this group.

WHY “Baby got back” and why I started. 
In 2012 My cardiologist followed up with “you need to eat healthier and exercise” after a scary heart surgery. I was barely 2 months postpartum. I was alone and scared. I remember thinking to myself “ how the hell am I going to juggle being a single mom to a child with special needs, a newborn, hold down two jobs, and workout?”
For me, the diet was the easy part.
Surprisingly, so was finding the time. I literally just set aside one hour a day. I was a trauma nurse at this point and had had so much nutrition education, so gaining weight and getting on track food wise wasn’t going to be the challenge. It was exercise.
How would I start?
How do you work out properly?
Should I lift weights or do cardio?
What are free weights, deadlifts, drop sets and what the hell is a squat?
Long story short, I didn’t know shit. So I bought a bunch of literature, focused on the body parts I really wanted to see a change with and eagerly went to work.

I still struggled for a while, but over the years and with education from trainers and friends, I found my rhythm, became experienced and educated in various forms of training, and soaked up all the insight I could.
I started with my butt. I wanted desperately to have a butt. I was teased and hated on growing up for being sickly skinny, gross, and boney. I wanted to gain the assets I always wanted.
I am so excited to start this tomorrow because, while I know it will be fun, I want to provide the education and tools I didn’t have when I started.

Both Cody and I will be teaching on nutrition, meal prep, different muscle group training, habits, and time prioritization..... just to name a few!!!!!
