History of SWAPS
So I bet you are like that's great and all but what are swaps exactly? Well, swaps are a way of having a token to remember the person by. They made their first appearance at national Girl Scout Senior Roundups in the 1950s and 1960s. These were made by one person in different ways and exchanged for other swaps. These usually happen when there is a party or campout and is a fun way to meet people.
Tradition of SWAPS
Tradition says that swaps must be made and exchanged as a token or keepsake. This is a way to get creative and have fun. The word swap stands for Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere. These are swaps.
Always check that what you are making will fit on your pin.
Steps will vary depending on the swap project.

Whatever your materials are for the specific swaps
Steps:
1. Gather whatever your materials are for the specific swaps
2. Use your materials for the swaps and add or construct them.
3. Open your pins
4. Decide on the theme of your swap-- Make sure your swaps keep to your theme
5. Write your name and year on the swap
6. Put the swap on the pin
7. Close the pin
8. Put in a zip-lock bag
9. Repeat until you have the amount needed
10. Close the baggie
