The Kingdom Code

We love being entrepreneurs and are excited to review  The Complete Starter Kit from The Kingdom Code.

Being an entrepreneur is such an important part of the homeschooling experience to me, for my children. It gives them the power to decide what they want to do and gives them self confidence in a world where that isn't the emphasis in a lot of schools. Success in life isn't just based on a test score.

In the beginning, you need to be able to have the parent or teacher more in the teacher perspective and later on, you are able to just be the support. Which I love. It teaches them to be progressive in their entrepreneurial skills in a healthy way.

My daughter, for example, already babysits and is one of Sol's favourite baby sitters... in fact, she is just the sister next door she never had. And I am the auntie. But for real, my daughter has grown in incredibly worth ethic already because of the experience she has with babysitting Sol. And now, she gets to expand that with this program. And I am super excited about that.

Here is more about the program itself & it's different components.

The receipt book:
This is a great idea. Very simple but a great thing that is included that is often forgotten-- which is important if you are selling anything from lemonade to jewellery to books to whatever. Teaches them also to be good at customer service, economics, and so much more. These skills are not only skills that touch on typical school skills like math but also to skills that will take them far in life.

The KCK Treasure Map is great because it allows children to keep track of where they are at and where they are going. This is important and just fun. Why is it important? Because it shows the student where they are headed.

Flash Cards are great. They are good hard card stock and also have the pronunciation along with the word and meaning on the back. Good for spelling and also for vocabulary.

You can check out a FREE sample of their lessons here: thekingdomcode.com/free-samples/

The workbook is great not only because students need to not only learn the materials but also be able to put it in school application as well as practical application. In all colours. Good quality paper. There is also so much they get out of doing these worksheets to be able to move forward.

I love that they have a calendar as well. This is important to teach them how to be able to plan things out for their business idea.

They also have a colouring book-- which I will be giving away here! It's especially great for your artistic child.

The Parent Planner:
It includes a break down for each lesson, what your child needs to have for each lesson, an overview, essential question, learning goal, and resources for each lesson. I also like that they have a "notes" space at the end of each lesson. However, I wish the notes for the lesson section was longer. It would definitely be nice to have that especially since I process as a parent and teacher through writing.

It is great in the section that they have the suggest enrichment for the lesson because it's important to make sure that there is more information, especially for students like mine who always want to know and learn more. This includes outside sources on websites or even YouTube videos.

While each lesson is in multiple days, I bet that some students will be able to do in a shorter time frame.

What kinds of lessons do this cover and are taught?

Great you asked that.

This covers EVERYTHING. Not only things you learn in school but outside of it too.
* History
* Math
* Economics
* Social Science
* Writing
* Self esteem
* Society
* Community
* Communication
* Problem Solving
* Critical Thinking

Can you have multiple students work on the same business?
Yes, you can! But they should each have their own worksheets so they can process for themselves as well.

As a teacher and parent, I was very surprised that my child that leans more towards not liking heavily Christian based curriculum, really liked and appreciated this. I have to say that even though it is, the practices that it teaches, such as tithing is super important for students. Regardless of faith. So I appreciate where they are going with this.

Via's Review:

Hi, it’s me, Via. Today I will be reviewing KCK. Kingdom Code Kids. This is a very religiously based
workbook and is highly interactive. It is all about making your own money, managing it, and spending
it wisely. All while learning about different things about this subject. For example, supply and demand,
budgets, how to be financially responsible, and much more. It is a bit cheesy with pictures and words,
but underneath that, It is a great learning experience and soon you will know how to start and keep a
small business.

It's a great way to teach your children how to be entrepreneurs.

If I have one critique it would be how religious-based it is. But, maybe that is what will make this good.
If steered toward the religious path, it will attract more religious people. I like this workbook and I have
learned much from it. I am proud of the new skills I have learned and am excited to use them. I think
the person who made this workbook need to remember that kids are more mature than adults might
think, and might take longer to learn then you might think. Something to keep in mind. This is the end
of my review, so I look forward to writing soon. Thanks for reading.

We all HIGHLY recommend this program overall!
