If you are celebrating valentine's day-- yourself or with someone else, why not celebrate love and share the love by buying girl scout cookies? You give chocolate and you support your local girl scouts!
I mean, if you are my man, and you bought me girl scout cookies for valentine's day, we would be making like Pharrell and "Get(ting) Lucky"... just saying! Why? Because you not only:
a) Brought me chocolate
b) You did it while supporting girl scouts
c) You supported girls in general in business
So whether you are doing it for yourself or for someone else, you can't go wrong.
I don't say this because I am trying to sell you girl scout cookies (even though you can and support this blogger and scouter) but because I have tasted these all myself.
About the Cookies:
Thin mints are the most popular by far. Mint and chocolate. Need I say more? These come in two packages within the box. Good for self control, I guess.
Samoa are the second most popular. They are chocolate, coconut, and caramel. Just awesome tropical goodness! If you get these, beware, you may eat in one sitting.
Trefoil are butter cookies. Think old-fashioned-take-you-back-to-childhood good! Better than they sound. Great with coffee and very good!
Savannah Smiles are lemon butter cookies with powedered sugar. My favourite. And mighty dangerous for me. I can eat the whole bag in one sitting. I have to force myself to only eat half a box. LOL.
Do Si Dos are peanut butter sandwiches. They remind me a lot of nutter butter from when I was a kid. These are okay to me. Not a favourite. Maybe my least favourite of all of them but it really depends on my mood.
Rah Rah Raisins are an oatmeal cookie with raisins and greek yoghurt. I was very skeptical at first but really ended up liking them. Better than I expected.
Tagalongs are peanut butter and chocolate. Think Reese's Pieces. Yum! I am surprised these are not more popular.
If you are gluten free, you can get Toffeetastics, but if you are not, a heads up that I don't like them at all. And that is with me being border line celiac's (meaning I have to be gluten free). They would be better with coffee though. They remind me a lot of biscotti.
