Great Cookie Sale Prizes For Girl Scouts in 2017

I am writing this for my families but for anyone wondering what the prizes are.

Here are some quick questions answered first.

2017-- Remember that if you got the personalised patch for Fall Product this year & you sell 250 boxes of cookies this season, you will get a special 100 year patch (that you will not be able to earn the following years). 

A few Q & A first, then the prize list. 
Q: Are prizes cumulative? What does that mean?
Yes, they are cumulative. That means that if you sell 125 boxes of cookies, you get all the prizes from 125 and below. If you make it to 1300 boxes or more, you get everything on the page for the prizes. Also, if you sale that many, you are likely a top 100 seller if not on top of it one of the top 15 sellers of the entire council. We had FIVE top 100 sellers last year and ONE top 15 seller of the ENTIRE council right here in Troop 5823!!! Go Ella, Katelynn, Riley, Meleny and Via! We would love to see everyone make those numbers!

Top 100 sellers events have varied from a day camp to go to DC United games... so there are some cool opportunities!

Top 15 sellers get to meet the CEO of GSCNC and have lunch with. Year before last it was at the council office and last year it was a really nice restaurant in Silver Spring where they got to be mini chefs!

Even as a surprise last minute, the service unit invited the top 15 sellers in the service unit to a party with an awesome prize bag!

We currently have several girls 115+, several girls 250+, one girl at 500+, one girl at almost 750, one girl at above 750. *GO GIRLS*

Q: What are initial/pre order rewards?A: That has passed and those can not be earned anymore but they are before we put in our first cookie order.

Q: If my daughter did not get pre order rewards, can she still earn everything else?A: Yes, she can!

Q: Are troop rewards on top of council awards?A: Absolutely!

Q: Opting out- Is that possible?A: Yes, what that means is that you don't get council prizes (just patches) but you get an extra nickel for each box (this varies by council). Also, some councils don't allow girls under Cadette to choose this option- ours, GSCNC, allows any level to opt out of prizes. HOWEVER- this is a troop all decision all the girls have to make together.

* Come up with a creative way to cookies

* Have those ways be successful

Got Cookie Munch On Patch Requirements:

* Make a Video

* Put on Social Media

* Tag Via Bella and leader on it

Cookie Entrepreneur Patch Requirements:

* Cookie CEO

* Do a lot of cookie booth

* Cookie Rally, Cookie Season, Cookie Debrief and implementation of plans of cookie money

Did My Best Patch Requirements:

* Try their best and are stuck between council prize brackets and their personal goal

2017 Cookie Booth Patch Requirements:

* Sell at 3 Troop Cookie Booths minimum

* Based on feedback we are giving you the option between 3 traditional cookie booths OR 

-- 2 cookie booths at a council booth (IE: at Wal Mart)

-- 1 cookie booth in front of your house (if doing with another girl, must check out cookies the same way as normal cookie booth) 

(Of course, more booths you do, more they hit their goal, so there is no max limit how many books you can do) 

I Froze My Cookies Off Patch Requirements:

* Work Booths in Freezing Conditions (showing how tenacious you are)

Cookie CEO Patch Requirements:

* Set a group goal

* explore how a small business works

* create cookie sale job list

* learn to make a good impression

* track your sales

EVERY 500 boxes we go over from last year's sales, I GET PIED!

1st place can pie me after 500, 2nd place after 1000, etc etc.  2016, I have quit a few pie-ings that will happen at the cookie rally! 

Cookie Season Top Troop Sellers Special!

* Girls who have done an exceptional job during cookie season, will get to choose something special to do with each other! 

Cookie Season End of Year Party!

* Everyone who has sold cookies thus far in the season will get to join in on the fun during a cookie season end of year party! Woot!
