With Mother's Day around the corner, it is important to be able to give ourselves a little grace and be able to give us mamas some solid reading time.
After reading the good reviews on this book, I thought this would be one of the books I would review. And because I am a mum, which means I am automatically a multi tasker, I am also listening to music as I write this otherwise I would be less excited to write this review right now when I could be cleaning.... oh, who am I kidding?! Ha ha.
It is a nice hard cover book with a gift page inside. A gift page meaning that you can gift it with a special note from you to another person, aka a mum. Maybe your mum. She is waiting.
Also, there is a nice ribbon to book mark your pages. Because let's be honest here... 100% real that I totally use old receipts, the kids' homework, junk mail or the to do list (just to name a few) to book mark our pages-- because we are mums. So, I appreciate this.
Such a great gift for any mum.
And a perfect read for a Friday evening.
Curled up after family game of Apples to Apples with wine in my hand on a Friday evening. Red wine. The wine of mums.
Not only is this a quick read, this is a read that you are going to love so much you are going to want to put the book down to run, hug, and cherish your children. Even if they made you mad earlier in the day. Even if they want to try to resist it.
It was really enlightening for me, not as a new mum, but as a current one who has three children who are all school aged. There are days, even today, where their homework brings out the mum that no one wants because I have to lay down the rules of, "it's homework time." You never think you will miss that, but maybe one day I will.
This is a down to earth, hallmark, most perfect mother's day present to give a mother in your life. So I am giving it to... myself!
When you read this you suddenly don't feel alone sometimes in how you are feeling in your journey as a mother and there are sages of advise through story telling which is beautiful!
Basically... read between the lines people, get this book for you mum!
Happy (early) Mother's Day to all the amazing mamas out there!
I give this 🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌 (5) out of 5.

Instead of offering advice, the writers offer something even better: their hearts.
