Help Teaching

Something I am SUPER excited to review both as a parent and a homeschooling teacher, (also a teacher outside of homeschooling) is  Help Teaching Pro by HelpTeaching.com. There are moments that as a TOS Homeschool Crew Reviewer that you just wait for to review. I definitely have waited for some time to be able to do a review for this. And I was definitely not let down.

Teacher's Review:

I really wish I could do a giveaway for this product because it has become one of the most useful tools I have had. It isn't easy doing tests sometimes for your kids. And some online programmes don't give any leeway in grading. Which means that even though it is nice to have a programme I can use that makes grading much easier.

I wish it was able to give points for the multiple choice questions in parts. What I meant by this is that if I have a question that has multiple answers, and it's a "Choose all the apply" that if they get some right, it counts. What this would mean is that say there 5 answers in the "Choose all that apply" and the student got 3 right, that they would receive 3 out of 5 points for that question. Which means the points for the testing are higher, but it's important.

TWITTER LOVE!

The reason I believe that is because as a teacher, it's not just about the grade that is important in learning or testing but most important that the student can show overall mastery in a subject or question. For some kids, this would put them in the "passing" instead of failing category.

But honestly, that is small fries in comparison to all the amazing benefits and usability of the programme. We didn't have one glitch. Not on either side, as teacher nor student.

You can also do printable worksheets, even print your tests (we prefer online to save both paper and the results), and so much more.

If you want, you can browse the tests other people have made and use those or make up your own. It also has the standards for common core or other curriculums you use.

If you are like most homeschooling families that have to track everything, this becomes super duper important.

Overall, I think this is a product I ABSOLUTELY LOVE and recommend to all my homeschooling and teacher friends!

Via's Review:

Hello, I'm Via and today I will be reviewing HelpTeaching.com. HelpTeaching.com is something that helps me greatly with homeschooling. And if your public school too then teachers can use it as a tool to teach their students. it is a program that does test best and is customizable for the teachers so that it easier to teach.

When I was doing the test I could answer quickly there were no like things that slowed it down and it had a plain but soothing feel to it so that It would not distract me while I was doing the test. I also really liked the way it was done I think it is very sharp modern. I think that it would be an improvement if they can put a setting or something that would allow questions to be voiced for people that can't read well or people that kids that can't read. I think that would be a really good Improvement, I also think that the way shows the results and how to email it to you to make sure you don't miss it is really good and helpful for people that just want to get it done quickly and don't really have time.

I did not find any glitches or any problems whatsoever that I found.I think that it I didn't feel as pressured as much as some other test made me feel, And with all the like pictures and fancy things to make it look nice I think it just puts more pressure upon the person that's doing the test. of course, sometimes the pictures are helpful I'm not they are not it's just that they're more distracting than not Most of the time.
