This was sent to me by Janet herself and when we got to talking, she asked for me to share it here and share not just with scout leaders but also homeschoolers as well! This will definitely make for a fun event!

The movie SEAT 25 will be shown in the Lisner Auditorium at 7 PM on Tuesday night following the hands on activities. All are welcome. Meet the director and a panel will follow the viewing. It is a fantastic movie about a girl with a lackluster career who wins the last seat, #25 to leave Earth and go and colonize Mars. It is a great narrative about what will she be giving up to go and take a GIANT Leap in Life. I saw it at a premiere in Los Angeles about a year and a half ago and it is marvelous. Again just register online. Here is the information from Human to Mars Summit Below!

* During Part Two (1 hour), the whole group – older and younger Girl Scouts – will come together to design Martian habitats using a drawing program on a Microsoft Surface Pro tablets and 3D printing pens.
If you know Senior and Ambassador troop leaders we'd like to invite their troops to the program as well and or forward our invitation to them?
If you know homeschoolers or students who would like to join, invite them too!

We are in the process of recruiting troops for the program. Janet Ivey of Janet’s Planet has worked with Girl Scouts in the National Capital region before and has established connections with Brownies, Juniors and Cadette troops. We are now aiming to recruit Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts to run Challenger Center’s Earth to Mars simulation and collaborate with the younger scouts on the engineering challenge during the second part of the program.
If you know homeschoolers or students who would like to join, invite them too!
