Princess Cut

Movies are fun to review. We get to review Princess Cut by Watchman Pictures. Since this is supposed to be a family film- we will all review it!

Via's Review:

Hello, I”m Via and let's start a review. This review will be on the princess cut.The Princess Cut is a movie about 20-year-old Grace who tries to find her way to be able to find love and someone that will love her marry her for who she is. She goes on a heartwarming story to find true love and I'm going to find out who she is. It will melt your heart your heart and make you sympathize and love all of the characters. I really like this movie so I think for smaller kids that they wouldn't like it as much as I think it would be a little bit more boring for smaller kids.

I like this movie because it's simple but got has a complicated twist to it that makes it more interesting. I  believe that they have a moral to the story and that moral I believe Is to not Harvest your crop what is this just sprouting and I like that.  Another thing I like about this is you can understand what's going on and relate a little bit even though you a lot of kids and maybe and maybe adults won't have been in their situation.

PIN THIS REVIEW!

I want to recommend this to Kids that are nine and up. because I think that under this age they will find it boring. I think adults and older kids will like this like. And if I remember, I  would definitely recommend this to others. I think that's all for now but it till next time I will definitely be with you again that's all I have time for now but I hope you have a good time and like the review so goodbye.

My Review:

Overall, it was a sweet movie and taught that character is important. That sometimes trying to seek love is where we misstep and get ourselves into situations that are less than desirable. I still have mixed feelings about the movie overall though.

The actual cinematography and the settings were are all quite perfect. The edits and the way the film was done was great. However, it seemed too clean and seemed to cut things out that would have made the story deeper and intentional.

I actually really wanted to like this movie more than I did. When his ex-fiancee who apparently didn't know she was an ex, comes into the picture, I actually feel for her. Maybe because there isn't enough backstory but I know what it is like to be with someone who in turns breaks your heart into a million pieces with vagueness and less than a caring heart. I guess better that he broke it off before marriage rather than after 13 years of marriage. But who's counting? If you are going to include that, you MUST include the backstory. Otherwise, it makes the story too simple and then the guy seems like an utter jerk and selfish.

What I do like, is that even though it is a film that shows more conservative traditional values that often is seen as limiting women who they can love, they also show the benefits of having others look out for you. This is when she relies on her dad, and the guy to ask the dad first, to be the gauge of the worthiness of a potential relationship. I do feel that there can be value in that. This shows the good way that can be a beautiful thing.

But where this film goes astray in the same token is by showing the main character as weak. Not because she is going through a hard time in finding real love or trying to follow her heart but because of how it portrays her.

Overall, it's a good movie even given how I feel about it.
