Mum's Review:
What I really like about this is that this is a language that is the base for many languages spoken today! They suggest that 3rd-7th graders can do this. And this is an introduction to their First Form Latin. I would say that this is absolutely correct. It's a little too advanced for 1st graders, so my younger son, but perfect for my daughter who is in 4th grade and for me to learn it.
Right from the get-go on the DVD, which I am forever grateful for, you can tell they take teaching Latin seriously. They go through what they are going to learn for the year. As a homeschooling parent, having a DVD is crucial not just because homeschooling teachers get worn out but sometimes we want to learn with our kids too. I don't have a latin background so I am learning with my child.

My daughter pointed out small differences, for example, Oro as I beg, pray in the book but in the video it's I pray, I speak.
I do wish that when the name the verb, for example, Amare (to love) they don't list the verb in the first person singular without naming the unconjugated verb. This made it harder for my daughter to understand conjugation in the beginning. It also means that when having her write out conjugations for practice, it takes research on my part to be sure I have the right version of the word.
Overall though, this is a very good thorough program.
I am very excited about learning this myself and this is a great way to get some mother-daughter learning in together- which promotes learning well into adulthood. It shows kids that adults learn too and that we can learn with them. That we are willing as teachers to learn new things.
The lessons are perfectly timed, meaning they aren't too long or short. It is important because kids often times can get overwhelmed, and adults too, if there is information overload.

Latina Christiana Is a language learning program that helps you learn Latin. I'm so today I will be reviewing it and I hope that you like it. Without further ado let us get started. This program is very unique and is easy to understand in some ways and not in others. It includes three discs 1 student handbook 1 parent or teacher handbook and flashcards. What I noticed in the student handbook was that it didn't have the congregation very clear and left for the parent if they didn't know and if the student didn't know to be scratching their heads not knowing what it is. I happen to be lucky that my mom knew. but besides that let's get into some things I like About Latina Christiana.
I like that is simple and reminding that you can actually so that you can actually learn Latin easily. Something else I like is that they showed you on the screen and in the textbook so that you can follow along easily and it works even if you don't have a screen to watch it on and I think having it be able to work both ways is important just easier to have a screen. They make it easy to just the beginning because it is hard to learn Latin very quickly they make the lesson short but quick but also easy to understand.

I think that I would recommend this to people at least in third Grade and that is because I think that it would be hard for people under that age or grade to understand. anybody up and take this lesson because it works for kids but also for adults that are just learning as well and I think that once they get into it is really easy and it's more like a second nature. I think that even though it is hard it becomes much more easy to learn and that people under the recommended just will have a harder time. I think that's all for now and until next review, gooooooooodbye!
