Girl Scout Troop 5823 2019-2020 Calendar

This year, we have a lot of fun things planned! This is the start of what we have planned and things will be added as we go.

Remember to fill out the Troop Registration Form so we know we have all the information that we need. Or if there are any changes, for example, with health forms, who needs new uniforms, etc.

Also, the troop will run a little different this year-- in more of a co-operative style. Parents & older scouts will be asked to lead an activity for a meeting or two. Please sign up for your preferred date and let me know if you want to do something different, or want to lead some more.

February 2020:
4th: Core Troop Meeting -- The girls decided what badges they wanted to earn over Winter Break II and what they wanted to use their cookie money for!

15th Fredrick Douglass' & Women's Suffrage RSVP here (we can go as a group or not)

17th - 21st is DCPS Winter Break II. I plan to have the girls work on some badges that only they will be wearing in council because they are retired. How cool is that? The girls at the troop meeting picked the following badges to work on: Musician, Art to Wear, Pottery/Clay, Rock Climbing. I am looking into activities to complete these badges. Some may cost a nominal amount but shouldn't be too much an issue. The goal is to have the girls spend the week together and earn some badges along the way! I will update with details soon!

18th: Core Troop Meeting - Bring Diapers & baby stuff to donate for the DC Diaper Bank, or if you are going, you can bring the items with you. RSVP here even if you are going to donate so I can make sure they get a patch for it!
