Winter & Spring 2018 for Girl Scout Troop 5823

So if you know me, you know that I am a troop leader for girl scouts. I take great pride in this and we have a fun winter and spring semester of fun ahead of us for the girls.

Please don't forget to RSVP for the meetings and events below by clicking the date link.

This will be updated as events, community service, camping, hiking, and cookie booth stuff get added so stay tuned.

If you want to join our troop, please go ahead and email gstroop5823@gmail.com or fill this interest form out.

The troop meetings below are themed, as you can see, but are fluid to change based on where we are. The leadership team has worked hard to put this together. If you would like to contribute to the meeting or would like to add something your daughter would like to do, please let us know!

Remember, RSVPs are important, so click the link and RSVP.
Troop Meetings:

Right now, we have one concrete community service event for the coming year but more will be added, such as a Creek Clean Up, and more. Stay tuned.

Remember, RSVPs are important so please do so. Especially for diaper bank! Any open spots will be opened up to other troops to join us since that is a coveted experience that a lot of troops got turned away from. So, we will be a sister to every girl scout and offer up spots that are unused to other girl scouts.

Community Service:

Patches Earned:
* Diaper Bank/Drive Patch (not the same as shown here)
Diaper Drive

These events are both community-based, service unit based, and troop based. Most all of them are geared towards scouts (if not all).

Remember RSVPs are important!

Events:

We are still currently putting together the entire plan but we have some fun events planned. We are hoping to turn the camp out into a bronze award project for the juniors and see what we can do about the silver award project for the cadettes. If that is the case, this will have a troop community service aspect to it, but it will be a lot of fun!

Camping/Outdoors:
We are looking at Memorial Day Weekend in eastern shore, (possibly Memorial Day weekend, May 26-28, or May 19-20, or June 2-3)

Patches Earned:
* Spring Camp 18

Tis the season for cookies. Even though we will have a shorter cookie season, please know that to make it the best, we need to put our effort into it so it can be short and sweet yet raise some money for our activities! You can find the information below on the link and you can also RSVP for your one or more cookie booths below. Let me know if you have any questions.

COOKIE BOOTHS: * BIG sellers

You must do at least one booth to get the cookie booth patch. If you want to get a prize goal, we most definitely will set up another booth for you at the spot most convenient to you.
