Hey Everyone!

I am back from summer camp volunteering... you know because I don't do enough scout volunteering... Bahaha. So I am apologetic for not getting this out earlier but here it is.

To earn the summertime pack award for tigers, you must do 1 thing month. There will be make-ups-- ie the energy patch program you can do.

4th of July Parade

Good morning Pack 33 families,

I hope your summer is off to a great start, and wanted to remind you about a great community and Scouting activity on the near horizon. Pack 33 and Troop 33 are marching in the Takoma Park 4th of July Parade next Wednesday! We will line up with Division 3 on Carroll Avenue between Lee and Sherman Avenues near Takoma Junction. The Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. If your Scout plans to participate, please read the details below.

• Arrive early. Parking is very limited and all main roads around the parade route will closed at 9:00. Please arrive at the staging area between 9:00 and 9:30 to ensure that the Parade can start on time.
• Scouts should wear their Class A uniform.
• Siblings and parents are welcome to march, too. Wear a Class B T-shirt, if you have one. Otherwise wear dark blue or gold for Cub Scouts, tan or red for Boy Scouts.
• Be prepared for the weather; wear sunscreen and a hat. If rain is forecast, have an umbrella or rain gear handy.
• Bring plenty of water. Don’t forget your water bottle, and the Troop will have a water wagon on hand with extra water.
• Bring a healthy dose of patience. There tends to be a lot of waiting around for the Parade to start.
• Plan to pick up your child(ren) at the intersection of Maple and Ritchie Avenues at the end of the Parade. This is marked on the attached map with a yellow rectangle labeled “H2O Stand”.
