Tomorrow the Pack will join as a group to celebrate those who have served our country at the Veterans Memorial Park across from the Takoma Park Library at 2:00 p.m. I had a special patch made for the occasion, and all Scouts in attendance will receive one. Scouts should wear their Class A uniforms.
For the last few years we have celebrated Veterans Day together on an early release day for Montgomery County Public Schools. As before, the Scouts will gather at Ed Wilhelm Field behind Piney Branch Elementary School (see the attached map). Below is an outline of our ceremony program:
1:20 Gather (after release from schools)
1:50 Procession to Veterans Memorial Park (see attached map)
2:00 Pledge of Allegiance, Wreath Presentation, Moment of Silence
2:15 Adjourn

17th- Think Like a Programmer Journey Event (for Brownies and Juniors- one part of journey)
Meet at my place at 12pm-1215pm. I will leave promptly at 1215pm. Please have lunch packed for your child. We are looking forward to seeing you this Saturday from 1-4 at the Rockville Senior Center at 1150 Carnation Drive, Rockville. The program will start promptly at 1 pm. Snacks will be provided. I expect that we will be back around 5pm.
We will need to get there at 950-10am. We will meet down there. I ONLY have the capacity to do the two girls that pre-paid for the tickets. However, if you want to show up and attend, it will be the same $15 cost per person BUT they will NOT be able to attend the girl scout events upstairs as they have already over sold their capacity and have no more space. Parents don't have to stay but they do need to pick up their kids around 1230pm from the museum.
