This month, we have two troop meetings, a food drive and the Thanksgiving Parade currently lined up! How exciting is that?!
If you have questions, please let me know and PLEASE RSVP for the meetings & events. I have to give numbers for the Thanksgiving Parade to the organiser by the 13th of November.
For the No Bullying Patch:
* Complete the Cyber Chip Online here for your daughter's age group

* Attend the no bullying meeting (or if you and I talked about other arrangements for this requirement due to sickness)
Once you are done with the Cyber Chip Online Training- you can take a screenshot and send or print and bring with you to the meeting!

Thanksgiving Parade

Once again Girl Scouts will be marching in the Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade. Come join the fun.
Cornucopia is the theme. All are welcome dress as a pumpkin or come in your vest or sash. Make a headband with different fruits and vegetables. Let’s see how many varieties of vegetables and fruit Silver Spring has in the parade. The Penguin is Silver Spring’s mascot so Penguins are welcome as well.
I have ordered the cookie costumes, flags and we will have banners that will need to be carried as well. The Parade will start at Veterans Plaza. The route is only 1 mile. We will meet in the Ellsworth parking garage. Plan to be in the garage by 9:30 am. I will send an email out once I receive it from the county, 1 week before the parade. Permission slips and health histories are the responsibility of the leaders and adults in charge. I will not be collecting them for your troop. Troops and Adults in charge are responsible for staying with their girls until the parents pick the girls up. I will not be responsible I will have a sign in sheet so that I know how many are in our group. Precise location and time to be in the Ellsworth Garage will be emailed approximately 1 week before the event once the county emails the information out. I will update this post when I get any information that I need to pass along to you.
REMEMBER to bring snacks, water, and uniform.

Just found out about this. Totally optional.
Kappa Delta and Gamma Phi Beta are hosting International Girl's Day on November 19th from 1 pm to 3:30 pm. We will be doing three different stations: a motivational speaker station, tie-dye station and snack station. We are asking all girls RSVP and come with a white t-shirt to tie-dye!
