July & August 2016 Book Reviews

July and August are some full summer months...

You are finishing up travelling, experiencing summer, summer camps for the kids, whatever it may be before you pretend that school for the kids isn't starting back up.

You draw up a nice pitcher of lemonade and let the kids play outside while you read your books... for reviews... so here we go!

These are the books that make my tops this month. It is the first (set of) month(s) that ALL my books I would easily consider my top reads. That is incredibly unusual for me!

To me, top reads are not just what books out of these groups of books, are the best. It is more the overall feel of each book individually and ranking them. There is no way you could compare, say, Code 13 with Pop Manga. Or a book about redeeming second chances with a biography from Scotty McCreery.

Like I said above, normally around half of the months books land in this category. Books that were good but not overly inspiring. Books, say, that I could easily give away to someone else without a second thought and say how good a book it was. But I could also keep it and get good out of it too.

Via Bella Bad Reads
These are usually the books I prefer to toss across the room out of the stupidity or close mindedness of the writer. I have even had dreams about turning the books into oragami-- hey don't judge me... It's at least being reused. Ha ha! I have also thought of gifting them into our free little library once we are able to get one built, which will likely be spring 2017.

Have you read these books?
What do you think?
